Falkland wool has its own followers, folks who think it is the best stuff to spin and work with. The hand is crisp, yet soft and the fiber practically drafts itself. Falkland wool is very white, and takes dye extremely well. This fiber also felts well, although not as quickly as the finer wools, such as merino.
Average staple length 4-4 1/2 inches, micron count 28-24.
