4 oz/112 gm of wonderfully crimpy Corriedale wool roving. Raised and prepared all in the USA, for a lower carbon footprint. When you purchase this top you are supporting small businesses- farm, fiber mill and merchant (me).
I purchased the fleeces used to make this roving from a small farm in Michigan. The sheep wore coats, so the fiber is very clean, with little to no vegetable matter. I had Zeilinger's Mill prepare the roving, and they did a wonderful job.
Roving is not combed top- the fibers are arranged a bit haphazardly. Roving is great for semi-woolen or woolen spinning. The Corriedale fiber is very fine in diameter, and extremely elastic, creating a very lofty roving. Your yarn will be quite soft and squishy- this Corrie will felt quite well, too.
Hand wash your finished item, and lay flat to dry.
