All photos of the finished yarn are true to life on my monitor. The process shots were taken at night, with interior lighting, and read overly warm.

I had a wonderful time creating this highly textured, unique, artful yarn. First I collected a variety of soft wool that I dyed myself (mostly pinks, but also some blueberry, sunflower yellow and rich rusty brown), and created a batt on my drumcarder, adding in all kinds of texture with silk noils and threads, and sparkle. As I corespun this batt, I periodically added in shiny, soft extras, such as layers of silk hankie (purple), yummy purple locks, and even novelty yarn- an icy lavender ribbon yarn and a deep purple eyelash yarn. These are added in shorter amounts, so they pop here and there, without dominating the yarn. I then grabbed a coordinating handspun thinner singles and spiral plied that with the corespun yarn.
