I've been in an orange frame of mind since the end of summer :) I made a batt with a variety of soft wools that I dyed myself (orange, amber, brown), along with contrasting turquoise and lime silk noils and, of course, sparkle. Then, I corespun the batt (one of my most favorite spinning methods), adding insertions of lemony yellow, orangey-red, and amber fluffed lincoln lamb locks allowing curls and squiggles to stick out. Once the initial single ply yarn was spun, I plied it with a sparkly hand dyed nylon eyelash yarn, allowing the locks and fibers to twist and bloom a bit as I went.
This yarn has been wet finished, and hung to dry without weight. It is balanced, will not cause bias in your knitting, and the various components are securely spun in. You can knit or crochet with this, weave with it (amazing!), or even sew it onto another piece of fabric, be it felted, woven, knit, etc.
Check out my handmade shawl sticks and pins, they are great for quickly turning a scarf into a cowl. I will combine shipping and refund excess charged if you order from two or more of my shops.
All handspun yarns are one of a kind and not repeatable, unless otherwise specified within the listing.
Hand wash, lay flat to dry. Absolutely NO agitation, and NO machine drying. Handle as little as possible for longest life.
